stacking pots

A system of stacking flower pots. Following the principle of a tree and an ecosystem.

Inspiration

Unstacked Parts

Watering the plants can be done through the topmost pot, as water will trickle all the way to the bottom the excess water can be collected. Using Lego type connections, we can assemble the pots in different creative ways creating a variety of shapes. Depending on how many pots we have at our disposal they can be spread horizontally when the collection is just starting. We will only use materials that are easy to pour, using the simple circular shapes to keep the molds simple to fabricate the different editions. Placing the metal connectors before pouring (cement, resin, jasmonite, etc.) will also form the pockets for the earth and plants to sit in. The plants we have in mind are different species of succulent cactuses and other small plants that are very easy to grow and maintain.
